I have a Goodmans Digibox that has stopped working. The picture on the TV is not too bad, but the sound keeps cutting out. It shows a good signal. Is there a simple way to repair this or is it just a case of chucking it out and getting another digibox? (It was a present so I don't have the receipt and the purchaser has now moved away.)

Check the scart lead is in properly, I've had a few similar problems, but none of them were due to our Goodmans freeview box.
Other than that, you can reboot the box by taking out its plug, and pluging it back in. And make sure the TV volume is working okay.
I wouldn't have thought Goodmans was a good make, but our one has been pretty reliable, almost since freeview first became available.

It's made by Goodmans. Therefore, it is actually designed to be thrown away after a few months, when it breaks.
That's why Goodmans kit is so cheap...

the fact that you are getting a picture from the freeview showss that its working.

If you are usinmg the generic cable that came with it, chuck it away. Get a better cable. And wayhey you will have sound.

Just chuck it out - You could buy a new box for the cost of a repair

it is probably due to the bad weather we have been having, if it doesn't clear up in about a month, then get yourself a new one
