Wow great question. Kind of like when he said someone is going to get killed 2 years ago at Daytona, and then he runs Kenseth off the track!! What is up with that?? Tony is just that way. He doesn't like anyone making him work for it. And then he talks about racing too hard at the beginning and wrecks himself and Hamlin and then blames Hamlin. I've often wondered how the mind of Stewart works. But whatever, now that he won a race maybe he'll calm down a little!

Smoke doesn't wreck people on purpose. He is trying his best to get to victory lane. Things happen and he has a temper. When he gets upset because of a wreck, the press is right there asking why. He says what he thinks at the time. Tony has not got a silver tongue, like some of the other drivers. Some drivers can say the same thing he says in a different way and people think it's fine.

Alright, let me give an explanation to you. If a reporter interviews Tony immediately after a race or after he crashes out, he's bound to say the wrong things, because he's like that, the media doesn't let him cool off, since we all know he is a hothead. If they give him a few hours, they could actually get a more respectful response.
And FYI, he doesn't do it intentional that much. Though it does happen(2006 Daytona 500, Pennsylvania 500), that's Tony, I'm guessing you haven't read the more recent NASCAR.com articles about him, if you did, you would understand him better.
Oh, and the Pennsylvania 500 example? He didn't really get away with it, when he was black flagged and not allowed to gain the lap back using a Lucky Dog pass, but he did it by passing the leader. Sure he still finished 9th, but the penalty probably prevented a better finish. Other times, his punishment is self-inflicted anyways.

He doesn't wreck them on purpose all the time. Sometimes the car up front from behind does something by mistake and cause Stewart to spin him out. When he does wreck them on purpose, hes mad and frustrated for the guy holding him back for like 10 laps or the driver did something else. And I agree with 24_gordon_24 about the dying 2 years ago at Daytona and getting Kenseth off the track.

Same reason Earnhardt Sr. did it every week- to win races. They didn't call him The Instigator for nothing! Go Tony! Smoke 'em!

That is just how Tony is. He can wreck people and get away with it or get caught. Most of the time he blames the other person involved in the wreck for the incident. That is the reason I hate Tony. He blames other people for something he did. It is that simple.

I dont think that's Tony at all, last year I might have agreed with you, now it seems that he is trying to take a new course, but when the press is waiting for any driver the moment they are out of a crashed car, and they know that the temper is gonna be there, dont you think that it is baiting the driver regardless of who it is, what would you do or say in that situation?

im sorry but i dont think tony stewart wrecks people.he knows how to drive.sometimes he gets in the wrong place at the wrong time.if some of these new drivers drove in busch class first there wouldnt be all these wrecks.drivers today are very competitive and they drive very strong which is a good thing.but with hamlin and stewart that was a racing accident. i dont think any one was at fault for that wreck.stewart is a very smart driver and hamlin will be a great driver to some day.
