she is my ex gf - we went out for 6 or 7 monts, like a year and a half ago, but were really close...

Like as a friend is fine. Like as in want to get back together, not fine as your not being a true friend to your best friend if you are wanting to get together with his lady. You have a past with this girl so it is probably natural to still have feelings. But obviously something wasn't right in the relationship or she wouldn't be with your best friend at present and would still be by your side. Be a friend to both, after all we can never have too many of them.

no its not bad..but if you treasure your friendship enough..then you will like her secretly and leave it until your over her...but i can understand that you feel the way you do..7-8months is a long time
