Satan is a Christian
Think about it. He believes that Jesus died for humankinds sins. He believes in the ressurection of Jesus. He believes in Heaven and Hell. He even tried to trick Jesus so that God's plan would fail. How is he not Christian? Remeber that to be a Christian you are defind by your beliefs and not your actions.
Christians did you realize that you are the same faith as your most feared enemy?

Satan doesn't have to "like" Jesus or God, he only has to believe in order to be a Christian. My point is that is does believe.

Satan believes all that is in the Bible. He is in it! How is he not a Christian?

You can be Christian and not be a very good one. I am not saying he wants to get into Heaven and has to follow the procedures (accepting christ as his savior, etc) as you would. He believes in the Christian faith...he is part of it. If I am wrong then prove it.

No -- a Christian is one who agrees to make Jesus Lord and Master over his or her life. Satan most certainly has never done that. Merely believing in Jesus doesn't save a person. That's actually one of Satan's most successful lies.
EDIT: You asked for proof that you're incorrect. One such proof may be found at John 3:16-17:
16 For God so loved THE WORLD that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
The Greek word translated "world" here is "kosmos," meaning "the inhabitants of the earth; men; the human family." Satan was a cherub (Ezekiel 28:14). Since angels are not part of the "kosmos," it logically follows that Jesus is the mode of salvation for human beings ONLY. The Bible mentions no method of salvation for fallen angels, such as Satan.

Hi Sage,
For those who believe in that concept of "eternal' security that once saved, always saved and works do not count, you are certainly correct. James says, faith without deeds is meaningless since the Devil himself knows Jesus in person (reality) unlike us. This doctrine if believed, would give us a licence to sin with immunity and impunity and contradicts what Jesus taught.
I just want to point out to you that the majority of Christians do not believe in this eternal security and consider it a dangerous, damndable teaching. Nevertheless you give an estute observation.
Cheers,
Michael Kelly

Perhaps the difference is that Christ is OUR savior, he died for OUR sins - Satan knows Jesus' role as savior, but Jesus is no savior to Satan, Satan chose not to qualify for that long ago.

I think you have hit on a very common misconception. Just believing in Jesus does not make one a Christian. Lots of people think that if they just believe that Jesus exsisted and died on the cross for our sins that they are automatically "Christian". That idea is fataly incorrect. Becoming a Christian involves turning one's life over to Jesus, repenting of one's sins, asking Him to be the master of one's life and walking in new life according to Jesus' principals. Without conciously doing these things, a person is not a Christian and should not refer to himself as one. Satan knows Jesus better than we do for he lived in heaven with Him, spoke face to face with Him and knows Jesus' power. Yes, he believes and trembles. But he is not a Christian. Hope this helps.

Satan (the enemy) is of all religions. Satan herself is a religious icon. If there were no religion there would be no Satan. This is sort of like Jesus. Jesus was not a Christian. He was open to all religions but not bound by their traditions. So, to eliminate Satan one must eliminate the idea of Religion.

One could even argue that Satan and God are one in the same, God the benevolent, and Satan the malevolent. Everything in this world needs a balance, but God isn't necessarily of this world, so its not my place to say any of that!

no....the Bible says that if we think that believing in God is enough that we are fools!!! Even the demons believe & they tremble....
****Believing in God does not make you a Christian...and a Christian is defined more by his actions which should come from His beliefs....Jesus said you will know them by their fruits...( what they do, how they live, etc)_

Satan hasn't repented of his sins, and asked the Lord to forgive him, so he isn't a christian.
