With a bowl full of Strawberries, Cherries and leechees. Sitting there in the nicest weather, forgeting about all the fundies you have encountered. Just giving your analytic mind a break and enjoying the silence of your inner soul while eating the fruits. Taking few deep breaths. Letting the Love out that you are a representive of God on earth.
It doesnt matter if you dont understand him but yet he understands you. Its okay if you dont long for him, he still longs for you. Verily the compassion of God is beyond anything, dont try to understand him all with the senses and the brain you have that he blessed you with. Feel him inside your heart and let the Love out. Oh, my Question is Will you give your analytic mind a break, take few deep breaths and forgive us fundies for our judgements and lack of respect towards humanity and Visit the lake with the bowl of fruits?.....:)

sounds like meditation to me...

But, yeah...I agree with you basically...we all need to slow down...breathe deep...and just appreciate the many blessings in this world we have been given.

Yes, except for the god part, it is called contemplation, meditation and the appreciation of all things beautiful

Your universe is inside of you
So much joy and amazement abounds
A solitary world where you rule supreme
And no one may ever enter this domain
Only you can feel a kiss on your lips
Or a breeze's caress on your skin
The multi-colored windows of your soul
Are your exclusive panorama
Revel in your heartbeat's rhythm
Drink in air like fine wine
Give your eager fingertips
A feast of sensuous perceptions
Feel the wonder of the world around you
Experience the awe of living
This is your magic carpet ride
Savor the exquisite flavor
Of this sacrosanct gift of life

Yes, I've been to many lakes and streams, and sea-shores, and have drank in the fresh air and the beauty of nature. It was a very spiritual experience, in a natural way. But I still don't believe in a "god" behind it. I'm more likely to believe in a general "force" conncted to all living things that is just another part of nature and non-sentient.

Yes, i have. We don't spend *all* our time persecuting fundies in R&S, y'know.

I, of course, don't even attempt to understand God, because he does not exist. I'm a bit baffled on how you expect us to feel something that we think is a figment of your imagination. A bit of clarification might help.

N.B. Leechees are a delicious African fruit. Drop the last "e" for the bloodsucking annelid. Correction: it's Chinese, but i had lots of it in South Africa.

@Omer - There is no hate in this thread. What you are witnessing is DISAGREEMENT. Disagreement is not hate.

So you're saying that because I enjoy life that I should thank God for it? Even though I obviously don't believe that any gods exist and therefore your god is not responsible for my life?

Jeez. Sorry but you're just thick.

And they're called Lychees. Not Leechees.

Are you trying to start a cult? I'm not interested, sorry. I enjoy the lake, without your god, and my bowl of fruit on the table is excellent.

So you're telling us to become stupider in order for us to understand God? Yeah, that sounds about right.

No, I know exactly what you're saying. I've thought long and hard about God and whether or not he exists but I always come up with the same answer.

Here you are, giving a valid suggestion to Atheists, and you have approached them peacefully with good intent; yet they still counter your words with hate and are impulsively refusing your offer (not all). I just don't get some people...

BTW, a leechee is a fruit.

Compassion? Yeah right.

30,000 children die every day... some of thirst because there was no rain to put water in the lake where they live.

So which is it? "God" doesn't care... or there isn't one to begin with?

So your brain falls out when you stand in a bit of nature. What makes you think this counts as data?
