What should I do, my son has all of a sudden become jealous of my husband and I don't understand it I am with him all day long and he gets enough attention. We sat down to watch a movie the other day and he was doing everything in his power to get my attention by doing things he knows better than to do. He's fifteen months old.

My youngest son is the same way. I think it is because he and his father are exactly alike. I never had this problem with my older sons but the baby is soooo jealous. When my husband goes away on business my son says Yeah! I get to have my mommy all to myself. He is also very possesive when it comes to his brothers to. I try to spend rime with him alone and make sure he understands that his dad is my husband. I try to make sure he is in bed early enough to give me and my husband some time alone without him feeling like I am not paying attention to him.

Sounds like your toddler is doing all the competing. You need to set some boundaries for him, and cut the apron strings just a little bit. If he does something wrong, then punish him. If he behaves, then praise him. Doesn't matter if he wants attention or not. Be consistent, and he'll learn. Over time he'll find he rather lose your attention and be praised than gain your attention only to end up in a time out or losing his toys or whatever you do. Make sure your husband and you DO give him the attention he DOES deserve, though! Good luck!

Just being a normal baby wants attention when he wants it but your husband should be giving your son attention while he is home because he is not there all day like perhaps he is truly trying to get daddys attention especially if hes misbehaving and daddy is the disciplinarian

Your husband should be the one giving extra attention to him since you get to be home with him all day. That behaviour is typical for a 2 year old. I have a 7 year old and he will still do naughty things to get my attention.

Lol... I really don't think a two-year old is capable of harboring "jealousy." Complex emotions don't develop until later in life. Maybe it's just fear or what not. Give her a cookie. I never could comprehend trouble from children because I've been quiet as a baby / child.
