they do not want to see anything other than what they already believe in...limited thought.......why do other religions and atheists do the same? [same answer]... would it not be more prudent to just allow everyone their own truth and quit trying to prove someone else is wrong just to make yourself feel right?

Is your head full of sand and can't explain why you keep doing this? Don't have any answers or find any reasoning that fits your dilemma? Do you fell lost and confused all the time and don't know why? Is sticking your head and popping it back out only to have a head full of sand just despicable?
Are you caught facing your own demons and you just can sort it out or can't find an explanation for it and your looking to other Christians to explain it for you? Maybe you need to do some soul searching? Maybe you should get on your knees and thank GOD for living another day instead placing judgment on other people you disapprove of only because you wish you had what other Christians have...faith, hope, love, a future, blesings, favor, etc.

The same reason that Mr. I'm Far More Intelligent Than You Can Ever Hope To Be (not very christian of you) Terry O has blocked me. Fear of anything that challenges their beliefs. Its also a fear that they may have to question parts of their particular faith. What if ,god forbid, they realize that some part of there religion doesn't make sense because of some new knowledge? If they ignore it, they can pretend that it doesn't exist.

I don't do that, nor do I know any Christians that do either. The only time I put my head down is when we pray to give thanks for our meal...even in restaurants! (And I've had people come up to us afterwards to compliment us for that.) Are you just making up stories to stir the pot?
hitcloud89, as Christians, we would be the last people to be embarrassed about our religion. Everyone I know loves God and is proud to be called a Christian. You see so many billboards with reminiders of God, people with Christ-related bumper stickers, the Christian fish symbol on their cars, and people wearing crosses. I have never come across anyone who advertises their pride in Atheism.
In fact, after recalling all this evidence, I'd say you've got your question backwards...or it is just wishful thinking?

actually - it's a myth that ostriches stick their heads in the sand, And for cute, they spit at you if you look them in the eye. Kicking is their major means of defense.
I would never stick my head in the sand...cats and racoons pee there

I am a Christian and a Catholic, and far more intelligent than you can ever hope to be. My faith and beliefs are based on thoughtful study and reasoning, not on what Dan Rather or some leftist college professor has told me.
