Nope, it's in your genes babe. I wish I could change a few of the genetic cards I was dealt, but I'm actually thankful for the oily skin anyways! You won't wrinkle nearly as quickly and will look 10 years younger than your friends by the time your 50. In the meantime, try using a toner with a high percentage of glyclolic acid. Reversa Oliy and Acne Prone Solution is great (but only available in Canada or online in the USA). The glycolic acid is an exfoliant and will increase cell turn over rate, thereby leaving skin cleaner and less likely to break out. This also causes less sebum to be produced in time.

The best skin care routine for an oily skin includes regular cleansing, moisturizing, and protecting the skin with cosmetics meant for oily skin. Search the net for the products and compare and shop for the best products and supplements meant for oily skin. You can compare the prices and product efficiency while sitting in the privacy of your home. This gives you an effective treatment for oily skin at a reasonable cost.

If you are a woman, I would suggest you savour your oily skin , because as you get older , you get lines, that oil helps reduce that.I always had it and as I reach near menopause etc....lots of stuff is happening , however still have somewhat oily skin, like in my high school days and now yuck lines have appeared and more etc...
So cherish it and just use a proper natural, alchohol free cleansers
cheers

Well there isn't much to do about getting rid of oily skin completely. Everyone produces oil on their skin unless they have some kind of deficiency or something like that.
The best you could do is treat your skin with some kind of skin conditioner or lotion that's specifically for oily skin. Oil of olay maybe?

If you permanently dry your skin, you will begin to wrinkle early in life. Oily skin helps mask aging. I hate it too, but at least I still look 22.

You may not want to get rid of it for too long, especially as you get older. I always heard that the oil keeps you looking younger than most, because the oils makes it so wrinkles start later in life.

There's no permanent way to eliminate oily skin. It's in your pores & you can treat it temporarily but that's about it. People with serious oily skin can chalk it up to overactive sebaceous glands.
