First of all, at 11, he shouldn't have his own computer. The computer should be in the living room/kitchen/dining area where you can be a responsible parent and keep an eye on him. You may need to password protect the computer, but do not let him be online unless you're around and watching him. Otherwise, you might end up finding him a ditch somewhere because some perv solicited him online.
Parents need to be smarter than the creeps on the other end of the chat box.

Can actually buy software that allows you to remotely access his PC, cant think of the name of any atm, but go to a electronics store and just tell them you would like to wirelessly use a computer from another one. That way you could log on and check what is actually going on the computer at that time

What OS are you both using? If it is Windows XP..
At his pc...
Go to My Computer... right click properties and under the remote tab checked the option for remote desktop then click ok...
Next, go to Start > Run..
Type in cmd and the command prompt pop out.
Type ipconfig/all and enter..
Copy the IP address of the PC..
For you to access... at your PC, go to Start > All programs > Accessories > Communication > Remote desktop.
You will have to put in the IP address of his PC... then login to his PC with the username and password.
Im not sure if it works.. but you can try.
