Well, yes but better for him would be cod liver oil capsules once or twice a week. You just slice them open and pour oil on his food. Besides making his coat healthy and shiny, his joints will benefit in later life when he is carrying a bit of weight (And he will be heavy!) cod liver oil stops stiffness in bones and joints.

Personally I don't recomend it. Eggs contain an enzyme called Avidin, which decreases the absorption of biotin (a B vitamin). This can lead to skin and coat problems. Raw eggs may also contain Salmonella.

I wouldn't give him the raw egg, he is still a baby and his stomach might not cope with it, it could have the same result as giving him milk which is diarrhoea which could be dangerous for a young dog.

Yes, it's fine. In fact it's good for a dog to have a raw egg every so often. Just make sure it's fresh and not too cold (raw eggs lose their taste if fed cold). They're much tastier at room temperature.

My puppies always have raw egg & they love it, complete with the shell. It's a good food source In moderation) & part of a dog's natural diet.

I wouldn't do it because of the risk of salmonella. However, I met a guy at the lake who's chocolate lab has the best looking coat. We asked him what the secret was and he said he fed him raw eggs once a week. But who knows what's going on inside the dog.

Sure, as long as you feed both the white and the yolk. My dogs get the occasional raw egg (mostly when we go camping). Once a week should be ok. Raw egg whites DO contain Avidin, which can bind with biotin. However, raw egg yolks contain more than enough biotin to make up for any biotin tied up by the avidin.

Why do you think you need to. I wouldn't recommend it. if you are doing it because you feel your dog's coat is dry, then looking into getting derm caps or another omega 3 supplement.

Raw eggs are good for the dogs coat. They also helped with the digestion system as it helps bind everything in the stomach and prevents diarrhoea

A friend of mine tips a can of sardines into his dog's biscuits. Not the ones in tomato sauce but the ones in oil. He loves it. Nice shiny glossy coat.
He worked for a very famous woman who has horses and keeps corgis, she gave him the tip!.
