For me, the Catholic Church has already done a lot of the groundwork. It's like a map that has been meticulously drawn out for me.
It's like if somebody said "Your spiritual journey is Saskachewan. Go there." I know what Saskachewan is, but I don't have a freakin clue how to get there. The Church is a map to Saskachewan drawn with all the shortcuts and scenic routes and road hazards already there.
It has centuries of the workings of the Holy Spirit, and gives me a lot of the preliminaries so I can get on with the spiritual journey. I don't have to "reinvent the wheel" the was some do-it-yerself religions have to do.
PS Anybody is free to quote me, no royalties needed: "The Church is a map to Saskachewan." ;)

The Bible says many stuff i'm specific human beings do no longer pass by skill of....do you artwork on a Sunday?? it is obviously forbidden so are you calling God a liar or in simple terms blatantly going against his be conscious. to minimize your self from discovering new know-how noticeably in this scientific age is an entire waste of your concepts. The Bible even encourages you to question.... in case you change an ignorant Blind eye to each and all of the hot know-how you're purely advertising your self short and the international will bypass you by skill of as you're caught clinging to darkish age ideals. everybody is loose to have self assurance what they want. Christians that do have self assurance in God and Evolution are far extra rational and open minded then ANY of those loopy fundamentals. Its truly Ignorant to think of which you would be able to totally understand and understand Gods plan one hundred%.

There is a PEACE "that surpasses understanding" in coming to the arms of my loving Father GOD in faith.
When I was young, I felt immortal and indomitable. Nothing would ever defeat me.
But as I got wiser & older, I learned humility, through the trials of life, and a willingness to focus on the One who is greater than I.
There is no PEACE on earth, except peace with Him, who the Bible says IS "Love", and alone is sinless and perfect.
This peace is the priceless gift of faith in God, and knowing Jesus as my personal Saviour and Lord.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a blessing from Allah. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of the blessings and mercy of Allah SWT that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

I get comfort and strength from my faith. I enjoy putting all of my faith in God and giving control of my life to Him. I also enjoy being held accountable for my actions; I have a sense of boundaries and I know why those laws are in place.

From Paganism, I get a feeling of peace and interconnectedness. I get an appreciation of the wonder in this world. And I get the power to change who I am, the power to grow emotionally and mentally.
From atheism, I get a sound idea of how the world works. I get logic and skepticism. It's a healthy balance. And I get optimism. If this is where we are now, how much farther can we go? How much better can we make this world and life?

I don't asociate with any specific religion.
I am really open minded to different religions so it makes it really easy to not judge people by their religion.
It also allows me to learn more about different faiths, better understand them, and apply pieces of each one into my life.
I like your question.
