I don't want to hurt his feeling, so I don't want to tell him that I don't love him anymore, but it's not working out for me anymore. Simply because I don't love him anymore. He didn't do anything, the love just faded...

Tell him you feel as though you've outgrown each other and that it's now time to move on. Let him know that he'll always have a special place in your heart, but you feel like you each need to take a different path in life.

Well, there's always the old tried and true "Dear John" letter.
Another tired platitude: "You can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs."
It is cruel, if you ask me, to string someone along by not telling him the truth. The longer you wait, the more hurt you will inflict on him. Just do it.

just be honest. even tho it will hurt, you can't help that, but he will appreciate your honesty. it's hard but be honest.
