I never dreamed of getting married, or what I would look like in the perfect dress, with the perfect guy.

So I want you to share yours. Can you picture the guy? What the wedding would be like, or how your dress would be?

Maybe you've already had all that?

I dreamed all my life of having the perfect princess wedding...and lucky me...I had it. I married a great guy and we couldn't be happier...we're going to start a family soon...a dream of ours...I can't wait! :-)

When I was young...little girl, teenager, even into my 20s, I didn't have a picture of what my dream wedding would be. From the time I was 17 until 28, I was with the same person - thankfully I was smart enough to not marry him - but at one point I did picture us getting married...like Vegas-style or something. Now I am with the person I most definitely plan on marrying...and have had several scenarios of dream weddings go through my head...but when it comes down to it...I can think of things the money for that would be better used for (as we're in our 30s, we'd be footing the bill), so it comes back around to Vegas (or destination) wedding. Besides, I don't enjoy being the center of attention.

When I was like 5, I put my moms dress on all the time. I imagined the most perfect guy ever. Tall, cute blonde, blue eyes, nice smile, could drive me places. :) And I would have this huge wedding with tons of people and it would be at the Amway Grand 5 star Hotel. And I would have a huge puffy strapless princess dress. But now I have college and medical school. So that dreams on hold for a sec, or a few years.

I didn't dream of getting married when I was younger. The most I ever did was look at some bridal magazines in high school and think "Oh, that dress is pretty." I have gotten married and my dress wasn't anything like I looked at in magazine, but it turned out to be perfect - the whole day was. I think if you dream of something the reality of it then isn't that special - if that make sense.

Nope, I didn't dreamed about my wedding. It was not my priority as a young girl, my priority was education.

I just wanted to go to school, study and be independednt and succesful. I've achieved that, now I'm ready to get married but don't have a clear picture of what kind of dress, theme etc. At least I got colors and flowers picked, evrything else I'm totally clueless hhaha

I did, however, dreamed about the man I would marry. He was tall, dark and handsome just like Prince Charming in Cinderella. I always knew exactly how he looked like and when I saw him, I inmediately recognized him!!!!! I've been waiting for him and I finally found him.

Good luck

I never dreamed of the guy because, even back then, I didn't know who (or what for that matter, lol) I would end up with.
Of course back then my imaginary dress had all kinds of frilly pink lace and bows and my bridesmaids were Barbie dolls in matching pink dresses. My bouquet was a bunch of yellow and white dandelions from my front yard. The bridemaids all had to have their hair done differently because I knew they all had different personalities. The ring was usually some great big gaudy thing from the candy machine, or a ring pop. The preacher was my teddy bear with white paper around his neck for the "collar" (back then I thought ALL religious people wore this, no matter what denomination). I had a healthy imagination when I was a kid!

I never dreamed of a wedding or getting married when I was young. Even when I played with my Barbies...they were alway single, career-oriented women, in charge of their own life....I also never pictured marriage with any of the guys that I dated until the relationship before my current one....I knew that I didn't want the traditional wedding, but i did start to picture a Hawaiian wedding with both of our families and close friends. Luckily, that relationship didn't work out...

I am now engaged to the most wonderful guy in the world...and we are having a romantic runaway wedding/cruise and no one is invited...and then our parents want to throw us a welcome home celebration when we return.

I never dreamed of the specifics, just in general terms of a fairly typical white wedding. It turns out that in reality we're being a little less traditional--no church, much simpler dress, maybe no veil, no bridal shower.

However, when I'm pretending to be a Bridezilla, I stamp my foot, put a pout on my face and say "I've dreamed of this day since I was a little girl, and I want it!" (whatever "it' is). My fiance laughs. When we were looking at limos, we came across those huge, ridiculous ones that are a block long with fake fire places, disco lights, four bars, etc. He looked me in the eye, stamped his foot, put a pout on his face and said "I've dreamed of this day since I was a little boy, and I want it!". People around us stared, but we both cracked up.

I did dream of it to an extent as a little girl but it was always like a soap opera wedding - very extravagant with all of the guests dressed in beautiful and matching clothes! My husband would be handsome with dark hair and eyes. I would be a vision in a very fluffy white dress that made it appear that I was floating right down the aisle. When I was turning 15, I met my dark and handsome guy. I knew the moment I laid eyes on him that he was the one for me. That was 1989. Fast forward to March of 2000 - I am in my white gown, not fluffy but beautiful. The doors to the church open as the music swells. I look down the aisle and I see my dark and handsome guy standing at the altar smiling at me. The church seems empty of anyone else to me although in reality, both sides of pews are full of family and friends. I look at him, my dark handsome guy, and it takes everything in my body to keep me from running down the aisle, throwing my arms around his neck and declaring my undying love for him. I make it to the altar and we exchange vows. Fast forward to 2007 - 18 years of togetherness, 7 years of those married, 2 beautiful little boys. Reality is much better than any daydream I ever had.

My wedding was nothing like I used to dream it would be and I fully regret not doing it that way. But I could never picture the man, that part didnt fill in until I actually met him.

I never really dreamed of it too much. I pictured it a lot differently than it is actually going to be in 2 days. I dreamed more about the proposal. I always wanted a very traditional, romantic proposal with flowers, candles, dinner, etc. Mine was sweet, but not what I always wanted. I still love him anyway.
