I have never been a fan of Bose.

I have never been a fan of 2.1 systems saying they are a surround system.

That said I have listened to both above as well as the 301 from denon.

For similar money to the Bose you can get a 301 with better connectivity progressive output and HDMi if you like that sort of thing. Bose's 321 will not accept a additional digital input. Both the 101 and 301 will.

You also really need to listen to each and see which one you like with the same media. I have found though doing this with Bose is next to impossible since they want to control what is demonstrated on their systems.

I really think you will want to look first at Denons HTIB before buying the Bose. Or the THX certified Onkyo, these will blow the Bose away in sound quality.

But any of these systems have limited connectivity, are mostly proprietary and not upgradable. I again recommend a separates system with individual components. If you like a small footprint hear are some speakers and receiver I would recommend. The units below have the maximum connectivity for the buck. Also we have not exceeded the cost of the overpriced Bose 321.

Good luck

If you plan to have it last a logn time- buy denon. There are no old Bose items as bose stuff usually breaks pretty soon after warranty. Also denon usually sounds better. In three years the Denon will definately sound better because by then the Bose will probably break and the denon will not have broken.

Both have 2Speaker System for Surround-Like Ambience. First see and check which is suited for your taste, requirement, and budget. Then it's better if you can listen and compare both brands of that model you mentioned, it differs on an individual hearing or listening pleasure. Bose 321 cost more, about $250 than Denons' S-101 $750. But Denon has a facilities for Ipod's, MP3s'. and inputs for Portable Analog Devices. It is better to check for 5.1 Surround System for True and Realistic Home Theatre Digital System of both brands or other brands like th Pioneer, Onkyo, Technics, or Sony. Pls see and check this Link:

If good sound quality is important to you, buy the Denon.

If you want something that looks good, but you don't care how bad it sounds, buy the Bose...
