I am 18yrs old and am planning a trip to Toronto (I currently am living in Buffalo, NY) and was curious as to what age it is required to rent a hotel room in Toronto? Though I am of legal age in the United States, I was not sure if I would have to be 19 or if my US citizenship legal age would carry over. Thank you!

18 is age of majority and old enough to enter contracts in Canada. Thus mostly old enough to get a hotel. It is actually the US that a hotel is more likely to refuse you if you are under 21.

The best bet is to double check with the hotel for their policy. Each is different. Some chains just have a blanket policy and it is whatever their American US head office dictates, some have had trouble with youth in the past, etc.

18-21 depends on the hotel

I don't think there is an age limit to rent a hotel under...the Act it's in...I can't remember the name. But if you're 18, that should be fine.

It is 18 and a credit card for most hotels. Some take debit but you would have to call ahead and notify them. If you come here you can gamble ;)
