Its a simple answer really. Not all do and those who do are sick.
In no instance should a boy or man hit a girl/woman. Doesn't matter if its a friend, gf, wife, or stranger.
Remember thought that not all guys are the same.

The guys that do this don't look at her as an individual they see her as a possession something to control. Although it is true this is a learned behavior it is important to know that they do it once they will do it again and it usually will escalate into something more serious. Not all guys are like this people who think so have had more then one violent relationship will need to look within themselves to see what it is that drives them to violent people. Also women can be just as abusive as men it is not gender specific. Although when a women hits a man it is less reported......

Only sissies hit their girlfriends. Quite frankly the thought of hitting any girl, even if she's big, muscular and picking a fight, freaks me out. Most guys don't think it's right to hit girls. First off, there is no reason to hit you're girlfriend. Hitting another guy is acceptable but only in certain situations but hitting a girl is not. I even find it strange to hit a guy infront of a girl! The sorts of guys who hit their girlfriends are either drunks or weaklings. Also they just happen to be criminals, it's assault.

Iam a boy and I actually think that is not right.We have no right to beat a girl.

Not all boys do, I certainly don't. I think its because of a fear of rejection from their peers, or those boys feel they need to be more dominant than the female in the relationship(if that exists)

no one has the right to touch you in an inappropriate way.
it's abuse, and considered domestic violence, which is a crime.
if your boyfriend is hitting you, you really need to get away from him...
