You just answered your own question..she's bossy and self centered. I feel your pain. Unfortunately you can't control how she behaves, you can only control how you behave. It may come to the point where you have to learn to live without her if you are a self sufficient adult.

My mother is the same. When I turned 30 I had decided that I had put up with her crap for 30 years and I wasn't going to do it any longer. My life is so much happier and peaceful without her.

You don't say how old you are. If you are paying your own way and being supported by her, then simply don't answer your phone. If you are a teen, then consider if you did what you were told when you were told to do it, there wouldn't be a problem to begin with. Maybe your mom is bossy because you aren't holding up your end and are expecting her to be your cook, maid and moneybag.

Part of growing up is to take responsibility for your actions, so clean up your act and then see if things don't improve.

um...almost every1 doesnt get along with their moms at a point in their life. Think about it, could u be very one sided? maybe being bossy is her only way to get things done...but anyway she really is ur mom. she loves u , and u need to accept her. even if shes not SO perfect!

Grow up and quit calling your mother names. You might assume my advice is bossy but I'm definately not being self-centered in sharing what is right with you.

i guess one of you might have to back down....

just because she's your mother doesn't mean you are going to get along.

maybe you could try to let her know how you feel and ask her "why can't we just get along?"

maybe that's a start...
