If you read the book of Ruth you will see that Ruth pursued Boaz. I find no teaching that forbids it anywhere in scripture

"When a man finds a wife He finds a good thing." Pr18:22
Doesn't exactly say a woman shouldn't persue, but definately shows that it ahould be the man looking to find a wife.

No, the scripture often refered to is in Proverbs. "He who finds a wife, finds a good thing, and has favor with God." Depending on who you listen to, preachers misrepresent this scripture to say that only men should be looking for their mate. The woman is just relegated to sitting back and hoping to be found.

I know that I will probably get some thumbs down but here ya go, Mathew, Mark, Luke, John and the Acts are about Jesus Christ and share his words of wisdom and love, the rest of the new testament are letters from Paul to everyone based on his opinions, he did not walk with Jesus, talk with Jesus or share any of His experiences, so to me, his opinion of women doesn't matter to me, and unless Jesus said that, which He didn't, I wouldn't go with that theory.
