I dont have the same habit but I do get frustrated with God not answering prayers. The other day I prayed for an Aston Martin and to win the lottery. He still hasnt answered that!
When I was a kid I prayed for a Castle Greyskull and full set of He-Man figures, he never answered that either!
I should have wrote to Jim'll fix it instead.
Is Jimmy Saville God in a tracksuit and cool chair?

It all depends on what you are praying for. God will answer the prayers of those who are doing his will. Even then, if the prayer is not in line with His purpose then he won't answer it. Unfortunately asking for your favourite football team to win, or to get a promotion at work 'cos you'll be rich doesn't count. Also, when he does answer prayers, he answers them in the way that is needed, not particularly in the way that is wanted.

Yes, I live in what used to be a church long ago, and I hear chanting sometimes during the night.
I put it down to Santachristin monks who were driven out by the unbelievers of this world.
Their favourite hymn is "All things bright and beautiful" and when they sing the whole place reeks of flowers and fruit.

God will answer everyone of your prayers. Maybe not the way you want or think it should be answered but it will be answered. Some times it takes years. If you keep a prayer log in a little notebook and then reflect back on it some time later you will see where everyone of the the prayers you logged were answered in some way.

Do realy mean what you are praying?
God sometimes does not answer your prayers because you do not believe that God will answer them! also there will be points where God migh answer your pray, but in a totally differant way to what you expect.
Remember the Elija from the bible prayed to God from a cave, and a great storm passed by but he did not hear God, but then when Elija did not expect God to reply, God did in the quietest moment.

Maybe you should drop the sing, sing voice song and just speak directly to him with an earnest heart. There is no need for traditions ust talk to him in the same voice you always use in everyday talk God knows your way of talking and singing or chanting does not impress him.

If i were Jewish i would give up religion. He must be a bit of a bum God who could not hear all the wailing and praying for over six years while 6,000,000.were put to deth. what was wrong , did he leave the phone of the hook. This proves its time we gave up on all religions. Look at the damage they have done over the years.
