Should God decide to send you to eternity today, a life without God is what you will have. An eternal life, where there is no goodness, only darkness, and you + you. Yikes!

Yes bigirv@sbcglobal.net, it is, and that's exactly the point. Those who do not want God as He is, ruler and king, choose to worship themselves. There's a million different ways to get there, but ultimately it boils down to self worship byway of the god of their own mind. The made-up god who is the way they would be if they were God. They are therefore punished by being given what they want, a life without the one true God. No light, no love, no anything, but themselves. Their punishment is to spend eternity with their god.

Personally, I do not believe that heaven is a resting place where people sit around and 'worship', instead I believe that we continue to work on our imperfect selves, and continue to learn how to love our neighbors

I am a believer but not fundamentalist. The sins of mankind
will not be allowed in the eternal state. So, no you won't
have to worry about that.
People don't realize that Jesus Christ is the central person
in heaven! We will be enthralled with Him.

one person's heaven could be another person's hell...it all depends on if heaven and hell are physical places, or spiritual places...and what hell/heaven is to the individual.
