Where do you live?? not specifically, because hearing that people made fun of you because you were white and black is rediculous, and they should feel ashamed for being so intolerant. It does not any effect on them what-so-ever so they should not even care. I think that you need to move out of the south or wherever you are from, and find yourself a nice black guy if thats what you want.

You know, I am so tired of these questions, why do people post questions about color people's heritage, it does not matter! Our blood is all the same!!!! NO, color does not matter to me and it is on the inside that counts!!!!!
Who cares what other people think, as long as you love him, turn your back and hold is hand and ignore all of the negative people who are making you feel this way, the only opinion that matters is yours, why do you even care about what other people think????
So you broke up because you listened to other people, what a shame, and you still love him, are you going to spend the rest of your life dating people and if people do not like who you are dating, then you are going to break it off????
What a shame........I feel sorry for the great guy that you broke it off with!

I had a similar problem. I'm mixed and my boyfriend is white. Everyone was okay with it except his mother, who disliked me because I was part black.
Long story short...We had a lot of problems with eachother in the relationship and with the people that looked down on us. In the end, it got so bad that we broke up in a horrible way. But, now we are back together, trying to sort it out and struggle through it.
There will always be racism and problems within relationships like these, but you have got to be willing to work through it no matter what. You've got to always put your best foot forward and stand up to those people and ignore their remarks.
It's hard and a lot of the time it doesn't work and you just have to move on.

No, there is nothing wrong with it. In fact, if people had not married interracially, we likely wouldn't even have different races to begin with! But there is still a stigma on it that goes way back to when blacks were treated as inferiors, and society-deep problems like that don't go away easily. People tend to be prejudiced against people who are different than they are. You may have broken up, which happens, but there are a LOT of really happy interracial couples out there at this very moment. So who knows what will happen next time? Good luck!

Of course it doesn't matter, nor should it have ever mattered. I know exactly what you mean. I'm black and I like a girl that is white. Its 2007 people! Get over the race issue and focus on the things that really matter.

Well I'm white and i dated a black guy before. I don't see anything wrong with it. If you two still like each other get back together and not let others get between you guys.

Of course color doesn't matter. Color shoudn't make a difference in any situation, not just in love. Whoever made fun of u, is really racist and stupid >:(

If you are in love they could be bright purple with yellow spots and it should'nt matter. There are so many ignorant people out there who should be asamed of themselves. If you love them that is all that should matter.

Love doesn't know color, do whatever makes you happy. Who cares what others think, they're most likely just jealous.

I dont believe in my heart, it makes me weaker and I cant be weak I have to always walk tall, else others will step over me, but if he can make you happy I dont think you can afford this loss.
