I ask questions here on Y answers relating religion
Well I am an atheist but I know more on Christian history more then any of the Christians here on answers.
Well Muslims know about the history of their religion
Jews know and any other religion knows.
But this Christians think that’s there is the bible and that’s all, nothing of the development of their religion.
How their religion came to be what it is today.
Like the important decisions made in the days of Roman Emperors by the Councils of Nicaea, and things like that
read a history book degenerates!

i am not challenging god and trying to deny him. and i am not questioning your faith. as "Keltasia" said.
your answers just prove what i said most Christians are blind zealots.
there is nothig to do with faith, you can believe and be smart about it. i have alot of respect to Christianity, other wise i would not care to know about it.
but i have no respect to Christians who follow blindly after what is told to them.
and sory for the bad English, its not my native tongue

Guess you have proven you are superior since you read a history book (golf clap everyone) . Well I too have read the history books-- And the Bible-- guess what ------ they do not disagree w/ each other. I also know the history of my Church-
From your question- I gather that you are searching- if you are that angry-- it must be because you desperately desire to know something..... OR you are just trying to provoke people into anger- which would not make you an Atheist--but Satan's imp... regardless-- if you truly want an answer -- don't be so hateful--- If you are trying to provoke anger-- get a life- you obviously have way tooooo much time on your hands.

Although his question wasn't written well, the point was missed by most of the people responding. He is not questioning your faith. Most of the people on here don't know how the Bible came to be what it is today as far as the books contained in it or how Christianity was spread. He is not even talking about the Bible as a history book. What a bunch of geniuses.

BUT, Much of what is "blamed" on Constantine is FALSE. For instance, I have had many people, especially SDA following their false prophetess, tell me that Christians met on the 7th day and continued to "keep the Sabbath" of Judaism until the time of Constantine.
JEWISH Christians went to synagogue services on the Sabbath UNTIL THEY GOT KICKED OUT, which started happening frequently, IN ORDER TO TEACH OTHER JEWS ABOUT CHRIST, THEIR MESSIAH. This was IN ADDITION TO the normal Christian weekly assembly which happened eiTher Saturday evening or Sunday morning -- the day began at sunset for the Jews.
How then did several different Christians write about "making Sunday a day of festivity" OVER A CENTURY BEFORE CONSTANTINE??
For instance, Justin Martyr, First Apology, 156 A.D.
... And, just because Catholicism imported all their pagan beliefs and festivals is no reason to believe TRUE Christians believe or celebrate them. Remember, by the end of the 4th century, Catholicism was virtually unrecognizable from its Biblical origins.

OK you're generalising but there are valid comments.
"A generation without a past has no future" RAH
In other words ....
Those who do not know their history is doomed to repeat it.
People don't like to think that Nicaea was WHERE the New Testament as "we" know it was formalised. Cause it challanges their belief that it is the literal word of (Their) God. Understanding their history means to ask awkard questions.
People don't say that "Ignorance is Bliss" for nothing.

I try to keep an open mind. I do believe in the bible. However, with knowledge that it has been changed over the years and willingness to listen to other beliefs and non beliefs and the reasoning behind them. Did you know history has also been distorted? Especially by certain leaders who wanted to be represented a certain way. I believe knowledge is wisdom. To be close minded is to be blind and ignorant. People who say they know the truth and condemn other without research are being ignorant. P.s. I don't believe in the trinity or eternal torment. I am willing to listen to your views.

You attack and generalise.
It is the word god in the bible which confuses.
Jesus is the word christians follow and because I call myself non-Christian, I am labelled either Pagan/Wiccan.
Your question only proves your ignorance, now if you do not mind I must get back to my chalice of A positive and night shade

That is because the things to which you allude were done by those who said they were Christian, but in reality, were not.
If I go into a mall and kill a bunch of people in the name of daglas69, does that mean you agreed to sanction the action? So it is with Christianity. A bunch of people decided to do evil in the name of Christ. Best satanic attack on the faith the adversary could think of, and apparently, it worked.

Maybe you just met one like that?! Lol,do you REALLY expect all the Christians in the world have one voice? Just because you came upon some empty-headed idiot doesn't mean that you have to judge all of them like that! Don't act so ignorant! The truth is that most REAL christians know lots about their religion and will happily share it with you if given the chance.

Because the Bible has changed over time, and is continuing to change. Ever played ‘Telephone’? It’s exactly that scenario. Christians take the effort and learn the Bible but simply don’t realize how wrong it is, and how much inaccurate material there are.
Christians also face the laziness of learning their religion because they feel it is so superior that there isn’t anything to learn about it. How many Christians do you know that actually practice their faith, dress moderately, and behave decently? Oh yah, right. NONE!
Oh wow. So you see, unlike Muslims, Christians feel superior to the world At least Muslims take the effort and pray FIVE times a day, offer salaat to ALLAH, and learn a little bit more about their faith.
So what can I say? I’m not Christian, but from here, you can totally see why it is a very imperfect religion.
