Of course state why. And I don't mean virginity until you die - I mean until marriage.

It was an honor when I was younger but now that I am into my 30s, it has become a shame.

I would consider virginity an honor, it is something no one should be ashamed of, and that goes for both sexes.

There are those that do it because they want to remain pure in front of God's eyes which is perfectly fine, and society looks up to those people, everyone admires a virgin and has respect for them, they shouldn't feel ashamed that they are...

Now there are those that either don't believe in God or just decide to give into the carnal pleasures of the flesh... well, that's ones choice and no one can judge, only God can judge... but hey, when society sees men and women sleeping around like crazy they look down on them and are frowned upon by all.... people say, "look at that hoe..." OR "that guy is such a sl*t..." etc...

Virginity is what makes the holy union of matrimony between a man and a woman holy, it is an expression of their love in the purest sense, that's why its so highly praised...

Its not only an honor but its also the best way to get married.... I read in an article that when both people who got married as virgins had the divorce rate as low as less than 1%... that means that they are in fact staying together, so it proves that virginity is not only honorable, but when given to someone special it can be a bond that will last forever...

Like I said, I aint here to judge, everyone is free to do as they please, all I'm sayin is if you are a virgin, good for you, hold your head up high and never be ashamed of it, and I would suggest you wait till marriage, it'll make it much better.... and if you're not a virgin, be real about it and say you're not, no one should judge you for the choice you made...

I hope this sheds some light on your question.

It depends on whom you ask. If you ask an Asian he/she would say it's an honour. Not to mention the Muslims who consider virginity the most important thing on Earth and they even kill their sisters or daughters if they hear they are not virgin anymore. If you ask an American or western, he/she would say it's a shame or a phase. I believe it's an honour if you waited for your Mr. or Ms. Right, otherwise if you wait for marriage and get married to smb. whom you are not deeply in love, being virgin just for vanity or hoping he/she will love you more just because nobody has ever touched you before I consider this a shame. A person means much more than what lies between her/his legs.

Well i guess when i was younger (under 17) i kinda thought of it as a bit of a shame i guess, i don't know why, put it down to peer pressure, or i felt that guys thought i was really prude because my friends were all having sex freely. But now I'm a bit older (still young i suppose, 18 1/2!) i am really proud of it, I'm not religious or waiting till marriage, but i feel glad that I've waited for a guy that deserves it and loves me and waited for a boyfriend that will over look his own desired and wait until i am in love with him. I know that i'm a lot stronger person and have self control and respect for my body.

And the older i'm getting the more proud of it i am. Sure my friends all think i'm mad (and a bit wierd) for not putting uot sooner, but who cares right?!?!

Virginity is an honour to give and recieve. Its something that no girl can ever give again nor guy... From a guys view, she is my special person and love of my life. She gave me the first and only One time thing she could ever give... And this makes it very special and honourable for both, if not then don't give it... They are not the right person to give it to...

I consider virginity an honor. Wish I had saved mine for someone special.

I was not a virgin when I married and had several lovers before my husband. I can honestly say that having sex some people meant absolutely nothing and was not worth it.

Sex is way over rated with people. There's more important things in life.

I would consider it an honour although i am not one anymore. A girl who has her virginity can lose it anytime to anyone it is her gift to give but a girl who has lost hers can never re-give that gift to someone special- that is to say if her first time was a mistake... which for the most of us it is.

It should be an honour without any hesitation. Today, society thinks it is okay to try out different partners, but the Bible tells us to keep ourselves pure for our spouses. I'm sorry but I don't want the good Lord up above frowning down on me for not following His Word.

I think it's amazing for someone to keep it until they get married.
I think it's neither of those, to me, virginity just means that you haven't had sex yet. It doesn't necessarily mean that you're waiting till you get married, it just means you haven't found the right person yet. and if people are proud of being a virgin, so be it.

Hm, i would its just a phase...Most people now-a-days are getting married much later than they used to (way into their late 20's). And to me, sex is very important, i could not imaging not having sex with someone until i get married, that makes a relationship so much closer and personal. I don't mind waiting a few years, but, you have to test drive the car before you buy it. I think its necessary to take a relationship to the next level.
