Diplomats, and they will get away with it by claiming diplomatic immunity!

This is actually a good question. What if you witnessed one of the cars with arabic plates hit another vehicle and leave the scene? How would you be able to recite or even write down the license plate number? If you had all the time in the world, you could carefully copy it down, but in traffic it might be impossible.
In Arizona, we see a lot of vehicles with Mexican plates, but they use the same numeric characters as we do, so it isn't a big deal.

Get away with what? The Arabs own this country and are entitled to do what they want without question. They could be diplomatic and are entitled to that respect. Most of London has some far eastern connections and you just have to accept it. We don't rule the roost any more we just do the dirty work!!

they are embassy cars. knightsbridge is full of embassies and the diplomats have their own transport. they are entitled to diplomatic immunity so if they had an accident they probably would get away with it.

An abuse of Diplomatic Immunity it is a mutual thing to protect diplomats but these people abuse it as do cert ain African Countries and the only recourse we have is to complain tio the Abassador and ask ffor them to be removed and punished by theri own state. Of course it happens---like hell it does

Maybe diplomats cars...there are other cars with foreign number plates all over the place...suppose they get away with it as well

Same was as if you took your car to a country that doesn't use the same alphabet as us (greece/russia/turkey/middle east etc). You are as allowed as they are.
You have to register the car within a certian number of months but no problem when you first arrive
