No. A being cannot be logically omniscient and omnipotent at the same time.

For example, God knows that future event A is going to happen. (omniscience)
Since he KNOWS that A is going to happen, he cannot change it. (negates omnipotence)

If God can change his mind about event A, it becomes event B. (omnipotence)
However, if this happens, God would know that future event B would happen instead of A, and that he would have changed his mind about A. (negates omniscience)

This is one of many examples.

The only thing I can figure is that god is like a guy watching a movie he's already seen a billion times, and still he's shouting at the screen like an armchair quarterback.
But that would imply that the almighty skydaddy is impotent to do anything. That whole 'free will' really has him in a bind. Either that or satan has the remote.

Remember the God or creator have given us free will and intelligent. That come with the conditions, one of them is for our-self to clean up our own mess. Why would the God defeat the purpose of giving us free will by preventing what will most likely happen ?

The God love everyone, including those who commence in evil acts. To see innocents die is not so terrible to God, as those dead individuals go back to God the moment they leave this world. If you ceate something in your image, wont you love it regardless of what the thing is like. Remember the thing you create cant possibly be something not in your expectation.

If someday you chose to be an athiest and do whatever immoral things you want , you are still loved by the God. Becasue you cant be more evil or be better than God. Why? It take all sort to make the world, all sorts come from the God.

Reverend Red Mage. That is total BS. Omnipotence and Omniscience do not negate each other. Saying that means you're putting a limitation on either word and limitations go against their exact definition.

God can know event A is going to happen, but that doesn't mean he has to do anything about it.

Also, being Omniscient would mean that God already knows the infinite outcomes to any given alteration to any given situation.

I believe that God knows everything that is happening on earth and knows everything that is going to happen, but he's not going to do anything about it. "Why does God let bad things happen?"

Well, because this is earth, not heaven. And on earth lots of bad things happen.

Clearly dear, I do understand your worries but God is still very Omni-present; Omni-science and Omni-present. Remember, he is long in suffering and allows certain things to happen because of a combination of choices that we have made over time and probably that his name might be glorified and his people achieve higher victory.

Recall, the children of Israel in bondage for four-hundred and something years in the land of Egypt, they must have cried out in anguish just like you are doing but God is patient even with evil doers.

In the fullness of time, you will see why this has happened. God will surely glorify himself. Be patient dear!

It was man who invited sin into the world, not God. Adam and Eve disobeyed God and sin came into the world. That freedom of choice gets man in trouble. Because man's choices throughout the ages have been quite poor. Choose God and live. And Christ came so we could have life and have life more abundantly.

Perfect love casts out all fear. God is "Perfect Love."

Yo Bongernet! Don't ya have anything else to contribute other than that same ol line I've seen now in many of your posts? "God is nothing more than a nonsense word...blah blah blah...."

The only nonsense I see here is the blame people keep putting on God because of excuses.
To quote Thomas, "he knows things before it happen and he let it happen" is like saying there is only one to blame for all mans drama and it's God. So let me try and put this into perspective:

You see a dog running back and forth on a very busy highway. What would you guess is going to happen? You stand there wanting to help before it happens but you can't cause the cars are going way too fast and the dog is too elusive or he just doesn't want to get caught. Not only that, but your voice is drowned out by the noise so you can't get the drivers attention that way.
So there you are, feeling helpless and afraid for the dog and then the inevitable happens. The dog gets hit and dies.
You couldn't stop it even if you wanted to. Your fault?
So what could you have done to prevent that? Run out onto the highway and try to stop traffic? The way I see it, it was the responsibility of each and every driver out there to slow down and avoid the dog.
Instead, as we all know, no driver wants to slow down. Some may even get thier jolly's from trying to hit the dog, some just plain don't care and some are too busy with themselves to pay attention.
So who do you blame?

See? It;s so much easier to try and blame someone rather than taking responsibility for our own selves.
The nonsense is that people don't want to hear the truth. It makes em feel too guilty and nobody likes feeling that way.

So I've said it before, I'll say it again. God did not create war nor violence nor disease nor sexual immorality nor any of that garbage. We managed that all by our little ol selves. We took the beautiful gifts He gave us and turned them ugly. Like little kids, we're not happy with just a little bit, we always want more. Yeah, He knows what's going to happen before it does. Only because He's watched man screw it up time and time again. It's no big mystery. It's simply called experience.

And you want Him to come down from His comfortable home each and everytime we screw something up or we go wrong and stop it just because He knows it's going to happen??? DUDE! Now that's nonsense!!

His voice is always calling for us to stop but we don't hear because of the noise.
What do you suppose He feels when he sees the apathy and uncaring willingness for man to resolve his own issues?
We shout and point fingers and say to ourselves, "man that's f'd up!" and then we turn around and have a beer, snort some dust, go whack off to some porno show and treat those who don't agree with us like scum and we continue to fight and kill and on and on and on.....A never ending cycle of MAN MADE drama. We are those dogs running back and forth in traffic and don't want to get caught. We are too busy being free and having way too much fun.

I'm thinking that the 'mighty sky daddy' is sittin up there with His head in His hands shedding countless tears because His heart is constantly breaking each and every day! He can't help the dog. He can only hope the drivers are watching out. That's what I think.

This has been one mans opinion.

Peace!

Judge not so not to be judged. Don't assume you know the perfect answer to something when really you have NO idea why God does what He does. All of us thinks we know better but we haven't the foggiest idea. How about you allow God to answer the questions you have for Him and stop looking to fallible man to answer for an infallible God?
