Reading some of these answers to your question makes me wonder about those that reject Christianity. One poster says Christianity sounds like a get out of jail free card and so they do not want it. My statement to them is they would rather reject a merciful God and take a chance on hell then to be forgiven of any wrong they to have done in their life. In the Bible says hate your brother is just as bad as killing someone.
My thoughts on bin ladin it is possible for him to be saved if he has not come to a point his heart will not be unharden. After so long a time one's heart can be harden from God.

he forgave Saul who became Paul who wrote the majority of the new testament and also persecuted and killed Christians, its not about converting to a religion but acknowledging your sins and asking forgiveness of them through Jesus Christ. Forgiveness from God is free and available to anyone who asks we are all sinners in God's eyes and need a savior although some have done some very bad things so even more so needing a savior for people like this.

If bin Ladin would repent and believe in Jesus Christ and be born again full of the Holy Spirit, then yes God would forgive him. That is not likely seeing that he belongs to the devil and the devil plans on destroying him. The devil comes in to kill, steal and destroy. David killed many men but he lost his son for killing Bathsheba's husband, but he cried out to God and God forgave David. A curse without a cause does not come. David spoke of the coming of Jesus in his Psalms. It is not the man that does the killings, it is the evil spirit within him. By the lust of the flesh we allow these evil spirits in.

Becoming a Christian does not absolve you of either responsibility OR consequences of sin.
However, Christ's message of salvation is available to EVERYONE. If Osama came to know Christ as his redeemer, then even Osama bin Laden would be welcomed in heaven by Jesus Christ. God's love is universal and unconditional. The only thing that keeps it from anyone is their own rejection of that love and grace.
It's a hard thing to understand, but when you realize that in God's eyes, anything you've ever done wrong is just as bad as what Osama has done, you begin to see things the way God does.

If a god existed, he wouldn't have allowed 9/11 to happen in the first place.
Let's think rationally here instead of being blinded by absurd religious dogma.

I can't say that Ghandi is in Hell. I cannot judge what was in his heart. As for Abu bin Bubba (yeah, I know his name, just refuse to use it), IF he were to convert to Christianity, I believe he would be forgiven, but he'd still have to answer for it, as we all will have to answer for our actions. What form that might take I don't know. But Jesus died to forgive all our sins: bin Bubba's, mine, yours, everyone's. We are all equally guilty of sin.

God will forgive anyone who comes to Him in humility....and accepts Jesus Christ as Savior.
Including Osama.
This is what grace is all about......putting our sins into the sea of forgetfulness
