In one of my daily readings, I came across a commentary that said Moses" sister complained against Moses and that it was based on our human sinful side as she was jealous. If we undo her story, she had worked hard to save him as a baby, maybe she thought God overlooked her ?

What happened was Miriam and Aaron were complaining against Moses and ask doesn/t God speak thru them also and they were punished because they spoke against God's chosen one.

Miriam's sin was that of "lashon ra" which literally translates as "evil speech" and refers to gossip or speaking ill of someone/ The Torah states that Miriam complained about Moses wife because she was a Cushi- a black woman. For her evil speech and speaking against someone for no reason she was punished. An important lesson there- don;t gossip and speak ill of people, don't go looking for things to fault in others- and, most importantly- it shows the nonsense of the racists in claiming that inter-racial relationships are frowned on in the bible, on the contrary, the story shows that they are not just allowed- but gossiping about someone because of it is a sin!

Doesn't matter. Moses married a Cushite(black woman), and God wouldn't allow him to enter the Promised Land. Enough said!

Remember, "god" is nothing more than a nonsense word made up by man to explain away the things we can't yet understand. Get out of that cult!
