Sweetie, a 14 year old should not be wearing that dress. I learnt from experience in my teens that if you dress in clothes that are too revealing or grown up, people will treat you like you are TOO grown up. You will get all the wrong kind of attention. Your mum is probably worried that you will get into trouble or give people the wrong impression, and is trying to stop you from growing up too fast. Please listen to her, and choose something else to wear.

The woman in the photo is older that 14 and she is wearing that, she must be in her twenties or something at that is older that you.
where would you be wearing this to?It is quite revealing, but since she is your mum and says it's not right then I don't think you should buy it behind her back.Oh yeah and it comes under the category of "Sexy dresses"and is a Deep v-neck it says.
[Edit]
Also I personally don't think that dress suits a strapless bra,why can't you try and chose something else that you like of the same style but is less revelaing and show that to your mum.

Wait about 3 to 4 yrs when you can fill it out a little more. being 14 and wearing something like that will end up attracting a PEDAFILE do you know what that word is, a guy over 18 looking at you he may even be 40 and that is gross. you are more apt to getting kidnapped. however the dress is nice, maybe you can find a similar dress for know that is not so revealing. please wear clothes for your age. k. Of course your mom's pissed they're parents.

Wadda mean "its not even a deep vneck"? Any deeper and there is no neck.
Come on-give your mother a break. Is this the image you would want your 14yr old daughter to be portraying? Does this model not appear to be oozing "sexy"?
Do you think it helps your case shopping at Victoria's Secret?
Sorry, Mom's right on this one! (but you're 14-who are u gonna listen too?)

It is a very beautiful dress :), if you want to buy, buy it don't keep in you! But if you buy it behind your moms back, how are you going to wear it? and a dress like this is usually wore to a classic place! For what are you going to wear it? and one more thing, for a 14 year old, mm.. don't you think it is a bit too much?

One of the Ten Commandments says to honor your mother and your father. Apply it.
Just think if you were a mother and you had a teenage daughter that wanted to dress like a prostitute. With all the sex offenders out there in our society it is not a good idea to dress like a hooker ok. You might become a victem of a violent crime. Think girl!!!

if my daughter was 14 i wouldnt let her wear it. not because she might not be mature enough but honey do you know what those guys are thinking? well they arent thinking with their big heads i can tell you that much. there are so many cases of girls being kidnapped raped and murdered. your mom is only looking for the best for you. she doesnt want to see you get hurt or get a call that they found your body somewhere.

Sorry love I agree with your mum on this one, the dress style is too old for you, it is a lovely dress and you have a good eye for style however please think about your age, 14, choose something more younger that would look better on you. This sort of dress is more suited for your 16th or 18th birthday bash. Your mum is only thinking of you and it is a credit to her that she cares enough to tell you what would or wouldn't suit you. Think about the girls whose mums don't care enough and let them wear clothes that are really unsuitable. Grow up with grace and please think about your language, the comment about p........g me off, well that shows you are not mature enough to wear that sort of dress. Enjoy your teen years and give your mum a hug for caring.

Sorry but i think your mother isw right.
The dress isn't really "revealing" but the neck falls to low for a 14. Plus it is a halter.
You need a dress you can wear a bra with.

The dress is hot, but parents are protective. She doesn't want any excess body parts showing. Shes not trying to piss you off, protect you from the hormone crazed teenagers out there.
