More than once; my ex had his motorcylce stolen and it was his only way to work and back at the time, had tires slashed twice (everyone on our block did), someone tried to force the door open to our residence, ex's leather jacket stolen from vechile in mall parking lot from locked vehicle, my purse was stolen from my vehicle from locked vehicle (and someone even attempted to steal my son's car seat), and worst of all, I had a State cop write me up for wearing a seatbelt violation when I was wearing one (and my son was present) because he saw in his rearview mirror that I was writing down his plate number to report him for cutting us off in traffic (no lights or sirens).

It made me feel violated.

I did not get justice in any of the above cases; called in and reported to the police and was told to call back in between 9an-5pm Monday thru Friday to file a report and get a control number to turn into insurance...no officer ever even came out. I complained to the cheif of police, local and state politicians and the Judge where the cop didn't even show up for a hearing that even had the wrong street on the ticket for the alleged violation for to no avail.

Did I want to get revenge...no, I would have preferred justice.

Did it change me as a person, yes. I am much less trusting of the public in general. I am more cautious where I park my vehicle, even for a moment, I have extra locks on my door and I never leave anything of any value in my car. I also do not trust or rely on the police for anything.

Yes
pretty good since i had the last laugh
yes
yes
no

Case in point: someone obviously high on something put a pistol about 6 inches in front of my face and demanded my wallet. Sorry, but 6 inches is within reach. I tried to do the Jackie Chan thing and remove the upper assembly, but ended up slapping the pistol out his hand instead. Whatever works.
I then head butted the dude in the mouth, knocking out several teeth and giving myself a cool looking scar in the process. The guy was arrested for attempted armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to cause bodily injury and a few other charges. Plea bargain took him down to armed robbery only.

yes it made me feel violated. i;; get justice eventually cause people wont get away with things forever, i didnt get revenge they will reap as they have sown . it changed me to be more observant and how to protect myself more, yes you loose trust in people and it messes with the mind but fear cant control a person they have to get over it and know that its all good in the end,
