Who still admires Alex Thompson, a journalist from Channel 4 for these comments on the McCanns?

Channel 4 News presenter Alex Thomson said the Madeleine McCann story did not deserve its news ranking: "I've been sickened by the way the media have allowed themselves to be taken for a full-scale ride by the McCanns." He added that the parents'

conduct, "a contributory factor in the abduction, was largely downplayed or ignored altogether by sycophantic, gullible blanket coverage."

Faith - He was being asked for his personal opinion at the time. So he had complete justification for making this statement. Tis only when journalists allow their personal feelings to cloud the story (ala Any journalist who works for The Sun or the Mirror) then it becomes an issue.

I should say, to cloud the story they are covering as a journalist. But like I said AT was merely giving his opinion as AT, not as AT the journalist in an official capacity.

when a reporter gathers the facts on any story, the truth is in there, when the editors edit the facts, your left with lies, my hat is off to alex thomson, and simply because he had the balls to make this stament, good fro him.
