Why is that even though I get really nice comments about my body, I still feel as big as a house?

What can I do to re-train my thoughts?

itsyagyrl- I know exactly what you mean. I look at pictures from last year and the year before when I did think I was fat and I look at them and think I has a good body back then but I still though I was fat.

Turn off the TV, stop reading magazines, & avert your eyes from billboards. The US media is nothing more than a propaganda machine. One of their messages being, "anorexic is pretty" B_LL SH_T! While I've never met you I can only assume that if you are getting multiple compliments - you must be pretty. Put more value in your own self opinion (and maybe that of some close friends) & forget what the media tells you. They are just trying to sell you a diet plan that you probably don't need.

It takes practice. Zen Buddhism isn't bad for it, or a lot of New Age writers have methods of "thought stopping." The short version is listen to what you say when you talk to yourself for a day, and write down the negative things that you say to yourself.

Then come up with a phrase that's the opposite. If you say to yourself a lot "I look fat," train yourself to say "I look....great." whenever you start thinking the negative.

Also, pick a phrase that will keep you on track. I use "things always turn out for the best." Now write it out in long hand 20 times a day, every day, for at least a month. Repetition drills it in.

Sounds simple, but it works.

Personally.I believe if we are happy with our inner self (things not physical) then we are also happier with our outer self.I just believe I am an average person living an ordinary life ( most times) and try my best each day.I will try type out this little saying I have framed by my computer. It may help you. THOUGHTS ON HAPPINESS Happiness is something that you have to pursue on your own.You have to work for it and make it work for you.The way to make it happen is to indulge yourself,do the little things that make you feel good once in a while and keep track of how it feels to be pampered...You will find that by doing these things for yourself, regularly, that you have a real best friend-YOU!!!This "best friend" will always see you through the hard times in your life because if you love yourself, you will find love for others and you will also find that love for you in others.

I would say that you should take some full body pics of yourself. and then decide how you look.

Put on your favorite clothes when you do it.

But, that feeling as big as a house is normal. Funny thing is that I look at pictues of myself ten years ago when I thought I was fat and now that I look back, geeesh, , I wish I knew how very pretty I was then.

Hello Wabby. I am glad to be here today.

Yesterday I asked a question about Incest and Gay and you combined homosexuality with it. Good point, sweetie, and Dad usually likes to reason with the little ones, since the big ones are already informed.

"I believe that everyone has the right to be happy. Some might argue that they are happy being incest. Being incest is morally wrong and it is illegal. If the incestuous behavior results in a pregnancy, that child could be seriously deformed."

Someone seems very educated here, but Dad still thinks something isn't right here. If you do not mind me asking, there are few things I would like you to respond to.

Let's say your child comes to you and say, " Mom, I don't feel like doing my homework today. End of discussion." I personally think the child is correct, and the child should do his/her homework wehenver he/she wishes, because, as you said, everybody has the right to be happy. We should never tell that kid what to do, especially since every one is entiled to their own opinion, and also should make their own decision because we have free wills.

It amazes me how someone would want to enter my house and wear his shoes in my house. My point is, it amazes me how you want to do whatever you want in a world that doesn't belong to you. Principles are there to follow, such as two Humans at the beginning of life. It is logical that two females are unable to produce, while the same goes for two males. You and I acknowledge that, but in your opinion you think you can do whatever you wish to do in a world you are not aware of. You as an Atheist rather believe the world magically appeared, then Humans thereafter produced. If I am able to believe what you believe, then I should also believe in Santa.

Back to the first part of my discussion: My child cannot tell me he/she will do his/her homework whenever feels like to. No, they have no free will here. They have no decisions. They must do what I say until they're old enough to move out of my territory. Why? Because it is my territory, not theirs.

The same applies to God. How can there be something without something? In order to make a drink, we must add sugar and water. In order to cook rice, we must use fire ( A Stove) and a pot. In order for us to have TV to watch, we must have creative Humans to entertain us. As you can see the picture, something has to be existing in order to have something. That's why a Male has to have a Female to produce. One can't produce on its own.

Now, you guide your children physically in order to protect them and give them solid education in order for them to better their lives. God does the same thing, sweetie, his principles are here to follow spiritually, but most of us are deaf and stubborn. We don't want to believe in what we do not want to believe in, just like the kids who do not want to go to bed when it is their bedtime. They want to do whatever they wish. Unfortunately, we weren't sent here to do whatever we wish; we were sent here to obey. If you created the world, then yes, you should be able to do whatever you wish. Now, did you create the world?

Before you ask me who created God, let me tell you I have never met him before, but rather acknowledged that I was sent in a world not knowing how I came here. If I knew where I came from, then I would be very happy to tell you this.

So why believe in something you have never seen before? I never said I haven't seen God, I said I haven't met him. I've seen God every single day. An Atheist said to me the other day, " I wish I could make Humans without the sperm I was born with. " So I said to him, " So you are curious, right?" He said, " Yes, I am. But it is hard to grasp why God wouldn't appear to me in person."

Wabby, I agree with you. Everyone deserves to be happy, but no one can want to do whatever he/she feels like. If that was the case, people should be able to kill others, since that would make the killer happy; everyone has the right to be happy.

I look forward in hearing from you soon.

Love from Dad.
