Why will cleveland not go for this guy? they really need a vetran. I'm sure if culpepper is 100% healthy, he will be a great starting QB. This will give the some of their team young QB's chances to grow.....

Culpepper is a one hit wonder. He had maybe two good seasons with Minne and he was being called the next Montana. Look at the weapons he had there at that time. It wasn't him. It was everyone else. When it was all on him, he couldn't perform. Injured or not down in Miami, Harrington replaced him. How bad do you have to be to have Joey Harrington replace you? If Miami say ANYTHING in him they would of kept him. Plain and simple, he isn't good. Stay away from him Brown's, you have more pressing issues.

Side note, sorry you picked Quinn, that's not the QB of the future for you. He is another Tim Couch. Sorry. The stories out of camp are already bad.

That should tell you that Culpepper has not shown that he is 100% healthy. I do not think he was ever that great, even in his prime. At best I'd sign him at veteran minimum, that is about all he's worth. If he gets signed it will be later when some teams QB gets hurt in pre-season.

I personally feel Culpepper was WAY overrated. His great years were when he had Moss and Carter. Once Moss left and Carter retired, Culpepper was just an average QB, before he got hurt. I just would not feel comfortable with him leading my team.

They have Brady Quinn and aren't going to waste money like the Dolphins did. They aren't going to have him take up cap room when they can use that money on veterans in positions where they really need help.
