i heard that they think they are a different kind of race because they have white features is this true? Are the ashamed to call themselves black or like to look at themselves as better than the average black person?
PS i am full black and have white features from the caribbean no where near Ethopia.

The Ethiopians I know consider themselves african. They mentioned neither black nor white, just African.

I never heard about that but i don't think they ashamed if it is true, they just want to acknowldege their full ansestory. There might be a few who do think that way but its probably a minority. Why say that you full white if you have black ansestors? If someone said this they would be accused that they ashamed but if they acknowledge there ansestory then they aren't. The same in this situation, why be ashamed that you have white ansestors? And why not acknowledge your ansestory? There are, whether or not we admit, still this fading thing about superiority and thats what promted you to ask this question.

I also have "white" features(straight,small nose, small lips, small ears...), but I am black. I am mixed with other races that I usually acknowledge, and maybe that's what they are doing. Nothing wrong with that. It doesn't make me better than anyone, though.

They have more in common with Middle Easterners than black Africans.
Even their language, Amharic, is actually related to Arabic and Hebrew

I don't think they are ashamed...lol WOW...never heard that before.
I think that they may just ethnically relate to the people of the middle east more, or they are really just ethnically different from some other africans.

You heard wrong so don't spread lies about people. Other people who are not Ethiopian maybe saying it but the one's I know don't care about that stuff and consider themselves Ethiopian and African.
It's mostly only in America where you think about those issues.

I think perhaps, It has something to do with the Covenant. You know, one of those hair brained concocted stories in the bible,(I hope I am not offending you). They are supposed to be the last keepers and guardians of the sacred and secret covenant. Perhaps putting them , in their minds , above everyone else.

they are NOT black, because black people came from west africa NOT east. and black people are mixed w/ white and other stuff and they really don't know where they are from and ethiopians are ethiopian and some are mixed w/ italian but that is it. they are african and they do admit ot that. why do you always ask questions like this? everyone in the world is not black just because they are brown
