It's completley normal, if other voices start to talk to you, then you can get worried.

I'm guessing you mean talking "out loud" to yourself. Every thought you have is a conversation with yourself. The important thing is to not tell yourself anything negative.

Example: say you make some type of error (normal for all humans), and you tell yourself you are dumb, stupid, etc. This is telling yourself a lie.

Your choice or your behavior may have not been the best, but you still remain the person that is capable of learning from any mistake made and are not stupid, dumb, etc.

Negative self-talk harms a person's self image and self-esteem.

If you are going to tell yourself something, why not make it the truth:

You are a unique and special person. In all of history there has never been anyone exactly like you, nor will there ever be. Your brain works, your perceptions are real, and you decide what your future holds.

Working out solutions whether in quiet thought or thinking out loud is not a "bad" thing at all. Life is difficult. Working out solutions is a responsible, mature way to live.

Take care and have a wonderful life!

Sometimes talking to yourself will allow you to answer your own questions, but not only that sometimes the conversations that you have with yourself can be some of the best conversations. So talk away, it does not matter who is listening.

No, Brittany,
It's not bad. Most of us would recommend you not do it in public, but at home, or in the car it's no big deal.

I talk to myself when I leaving the house. If I say out loud what I need to take with me for that days errands, I'm more likely to take everything I need. Hearing what you are saying reinforces what you are thinking.

No, it is not bad. It is a normal phenomenon.Cent % people generally do this. They might be in crowd or alone. Everyone talks to him/herself. This is a psychological fact. In this type of condition you are listener of yourself. You can confess and share everything with yourself.

Not at all, as long as it's positive, not negative. In fact, it's encourage. The person that knows u best is urself. Im INTROVERT, so i do a lot of introspection. All the answers is ur SUBCONSCIOUS mind (ur dreams, body language). "To know others is wisdom, to know one's self is ENLIGHTENMENT.

I talk to myself all the time. Sure I get odd looks, but I don't care. It helps me work things out.

Everyone talks to themselves and if they tell you they don't then they are lying. As the saying goes, as long as you don't answer yourself you're alright.
