Basically Headhunters?
Since you only have about 15 seconds to get the immediate attention of the professional that your trying to swing over from the job he is currently employed at to the company that you are recruiting for, you will have to know some, certain key facts ahead of time, such as:
What the industry is paying at that time for the business talents that he has to offer?
What the company your recruiting for is willing to pay to that individual to swing him over to their side?
How many years has he been doing this line of work?
What kinds of perks are being offered to"sweeten the pie", so to speak, that will ring true in this professionals ears, perks that he is not getting now from the company that he is working for?
You might also ask this professional a couple of quick questions (keeping in mind that your using up his employers time discussing this with the employee, so the questions have got to be designed as "hard-hitting")
1. Did you receive a good bonus last Christmass from your employer and were you satisfied with it?
2. If there was one thing that you wished your present employer would offer to his key personnel, what would that be?
If you can promise this professional that his wish would be granted by working for anothr company, at a higher rate of pay and with additional perks than what he is getting now, then there is a good chance that your objective of winning this professional over to your way of thinking will be accomplished, thus earning your commission as a headhunter for your own company.
It might also help to design a quality script that gets the potential professionals immediate attention, as soon as you start talking to him, as this is the key to opening the door, that leads to winning him over to your side.
Hope this helps answer your question.
