I don't know if these would count as trivia since numerology is involved, but all the multiplication tables, between 2 and 9 in particular, reduce down to certain patterns:
2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20= the first 4 are even numbers, the next 4 add down to odd numbers (10=1 + 0=1, etc), then even numbers start again.
3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24,27,30= (the double digits add up to 3, 6, or 9)
4,8,12,16,20,24,28,32,36,40=every other number counts down (4; 12=1+2=3; 20=2+0=2; 28=2+8=10=1+0=1; so you have 4,3,2,1) and the others count down as 8,7,6,5, and 4.
5,10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50=every other number adds UP (5, 6, 7, 8,9 and 1,2,3,4,5)
6,12,18,24,30, 36,42,48,54,60=the double digits add up to 6,3,9,6,3,9, etc.
7,14,21,28,35,42,49,56,63,70= the first 4 add up to odd numbers (7,5,3,1), the next 4 are even numbers (8,6,4,2,), then odd numbers 9, and 7.
8.16,24,32,40,48,56,64,72,80=the first 8 count down (8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,), and the last 2 start down again from 9.
9,18,27,36,45,54,63,72,81,90=the answers to the last half (9x6 to 9x10) are just the reverse of the first half., and all add up to 9.

You can use your fingers to multiply by nine: if you hold your fingers out in front of you, just hold down the factor you want to multiply to get your answer. For example: if you hold down the fourth finger from the left, there's 3 fingers before it and 6 fingers after, so you "36" as the solution to 9 x 4; if you hold down the ninth finger (9x9), you'll get "8" and "1", or "81"; etc.

To answer Phill's riddle for kids, six was afraid of seven because seven ate(8) nine.
