I strongly disagree with trying to demand that someone cede an honor given him. Funny you didn't mention Caminiti in the same breath. Hell, make the 1919 Reds give back their rings.

Canseco wasn't breaking any rules at the time. For that matter, far as we can tell, neither was Bonds. Remember, though, that Bonds has never denied taking steriods, only knowingly taking them (which I don't buy).

As for those who think records, stats and the like ought to be expunged from the record books if certain players are found to have cheated in some fashion, the precedent was set when Eddie Gaedel's walk was allowed to stand in the record books. It was pointed out to The Powers at that time that if that plate appearance was stricken from the record book, it would make it appear that Bob Cain had walked no one. If any stats are deleted, the pitching stats, defensive stats, all of it, will be thrown out of balance. Like it or not, Bonds' numbers stand, as do those of McGwire, Sosa, Caminiti, Canseco, and whoever else is up for consideration.

Canseco should without a doubt because he was one of the first to use steroids and hardly anyone else was using them back then.

Bonds and McGwire...maybe. It really depends on how you look at it. Barry and Mark used them when many others were. However, there are about 50% of the players who are still NOT using them. So still, in a sense, Bonds and Mac still have an unfair advantage.

He wasn't telling the truth back in the 80's and 90's when he was using steroids he denied the allegations again and again. He would make a great politician because he lies, back stabs, and has no problem at all with being a hypocrite. Besides in an election people usually vote for the taller person, it is not the case every time but far more often than not. Look at the results of US presidential elections, the taller guy wins 2 out 3 times. I have no idea why that is just what has happened.

Steroids have been in the game back in the 70's but everybody is making a big deal today. Should those records and MVPS and other notable achievements be stripped as well. Schilling should just shut his mouth and just pitch. Selig knew about the steroids back then and sat on it but now wants to clean it up, who is he kidding. Selig has screwed up the Pete Rose saga after getting him to come clean but then still refused to allow him to be in the hall of fame but is making a stance here. There are many others who have used steroids and nothing has been done so face it, it is a part of the game and let's just deal with it

I am a Sox fan, I have grown to put up with Schilling's big mouth, but for crying out loud just shut up Curt!

I understand where Schilling is coming from, but to single out a few players is rediculous. Who is to say 50 years ago players where not using some type of performance enhancing drug? As far as I am concenred if MLB is not reprimanding anyone to give back awards, it is a mute issue.

Not at all. I don't agree with players taking steriods, but I think at a certain point in time, Schilling needs to shut-up rather than think the world needs to always hear his opinion on something. Maybe he should focus on not "being the news" and try creating some on the field, where the worth of a player is measured, not in the newspaper

Oh please, I do not AGREE with players taking steroids. However, are you telling me that "performance enhancing drugs" are going to give you the hand eye co-ordination to hit a 90 MPH fast ball or 60MPH banana curve? Regardless of whether I take these drugs or not, I guarantee you that I or most of you could not perform the feat of crushing a ball 450+ feet. I am sick of hearing of this issue, just because Bonds is breaking a record he has everyone breathing down his neck. I didn't see this big of a reaction when Sosa was corking his bat. Why? Because Sosa wasn't breaking a record. With or without drugs 755 Homeruns is astounding, I cannot wait until Bonds breaks the all-time homerun record....Of course you would agree with Curt "Dodgerblue" you're a Dodger's fan, go eat a "Dodger Dog"

Shilling should give back his ring from 2001.

As soon as everyone on the 2001 Diamond backs and 200_ Red Sox, starting with Gonzales, (who got the game winning hit in 2001), gets tested, and testifies under oath, under the penalties of perjury.

Shilling is an idiot and always will be.

Doesn't he realize that at least 20% and up to 70% of MLB has taken something to improve their performance, including his teammates that have helped him win 2 Rings.

What a Hypocrite.

People blast Shill for his big mouth - and there is no doubt that he has one - but when you give interviews and talk to the media, they are going to ask the current hot topics. No NFL player or coach is going to escape the inevitable Mike Vick question and no MLBer is going to avoid the Bonds questions.

Giving up the MVp trophy? Not sure about that. The retroactive stuff in sports is a bit iffy to me. I don't think there's any doubt that they all juiced and that many, many others did as well. Oh well.

No sport seems exempt but we still love to watch them.

I'm a huge Red Sox fan, but Curt Schilling really just needs to shutup. He's been in deep crap before because of things he's said before.
