Hi Natalie,
I lived in Sacramento 54 years, and it only snowed twice, about 20 years apart. It's usually too cold to snow in Sacramento. A fascinating thing I learned in an earth and weather science class at Sacramento City College. For a good snow, near-by try Peddler's Hill, off Highway 50, about 45 minutes from Sacramento.
