Well, personally I'm a full-time barefooter, so I sure wouldn't mind to be barefoot. I'd be arriving that way. But I don't really like any shoe or footwear rules; it should be clear to anyone who reads these barefoot questions that there are people who're just as uncomfortable taking their shoes off as I would be wearing them. Why would anyone do that to their guests? If anyone has very muddy shoes, sure, but just normal footwear, I think a house is meant to be lived in and people should be left free in their choice what to wear.

"Only bare feet in the house" - not at all. "Bare feet in the house only" would be less appealing, knowing the friend wouldn't go barefoot anywhere else.

I think It would be great to go barefoot in other peoples homes. if there barefoot it makes it so much fun! =)

respect other people's dwelling. U can't do what u do at home at other people's place. If you are uncomfortable, then don't go there.
