Asked this question once but the answers didn't satisfy me enough so post it again. Here is the issue: Remember that Kobe said that he idolized Magic Johnson so much that when Magic first retired (remember he came back in 1996 for the Lakers and re-retired after being ousted by Houston) he terrribly cried the anouncement, Lebron on the otherhand was a Jordan fanatic. Of the two Kobe seem to emulate MJ more and Lebron Magic which brings us back to this question: Who is better at emulating their basketball idols, Kobe or Lebron? Support your answers and I'll give 10 points.

i would believe kobe, if he passed the ball a bit more, the scoring is there, but he has to believe in his team just like he did for the first few months of the season last year, to me lebron doesn't emulate jordan. he doesn't have the same posture the mike did, jordan had a sweeter of the dribble move and a better outside shot. maybe i am just living in the 80's/90's, but seriously i don't see kobe or lebron emulating their idols. i am not trying to hate on lebron or kobe, but if they want to be at the same level as jordan and magic, they need to improve their game drastically. i think they can do it and kobe will understand that he is allowed to pass, but i think he lost confidence in his team, he would pass it to luke and luke would overreact and start acting like oh my god kobe passed it and throws up a brick. lebron will understand that free throws are "free" and make them. despite the point shaving scandal, i think they will both have great years next year, and take another step closer to the elite level of both magic and jordan.

thanks, i was going to answer the other one you had posted a few days ago, but to many people had already answered, so i didnt.

what you said was right...kobe is the closest thing to jordan right now and lebron is playing like magic because of his team plays...now for your question, i think lebron is better at emulating jordan because he leads his team and doing what he knows is good for the team, making passes and grabbing rebounds and of course lighting up the scoreboard, yes lebron might not have the stroke of jordan when it comes to his jumpshots but he's improving and showing signs of greatness at a very young age...kobe on the other hand is doing good in emulating magic but magic is a team player, im not saying that kobe isn't but kobe is much more of an offensive demon, people say that he needs to pass more, kobe did that, he passes the ball to his teammates, trying to get them involve but don't hate him for putting up huge points because that's kobe man, he's a scorer and that's what his team needs...both are the superstars of their respective team but when you're asked with that question i think lebron is better not because of the shooting form or dribbling skills but because he provides whatever the team needs, he carried his team all the way to the finals, kobe does to but i really can't see magic in kobe...
