As a mother- in- law I can agree. Before the marriage I'm called Mom and everything is fine . Afterwards if I ask a question I'm meddling,but they are free to tell me where and how they want thingsdone. Also there the thing with sons who have no inclination to help, keep the relationship in good standing.Once their wifes get the control, they don't have to try anymore and son's close their eyes.Then theres mother in laws that think their son is too good , or they have bossing rights.Lording over son's family because they're MOM.Best to get it together before hand, and talk situations with both women .There's 2 sides to all situations.

The reason why one does not love their mother-in-law is because no matter what you do it's not good enough for them.
They can be picky, rude and demanding of their son/daughter's time.

My husbands Mother is great, I can say I love her very much. she is on my side most of the time, she knows how difficult her son is, after all she brought him up and knows very well his good and bad points.So I think there are mother in laws out there somewhere that deserve our love.
