Sounds like it was the Jalapeno. You probably had open cuts on your hand. This same question was asked a few days ago. All you can do is wait until it wears off. In the meantime, keep dousing your hands will cold water. If it doesn't wear off in a day or so, go to the doctor. Maybe, from now on, everyone should wear gloves while cutting jalapeno.

Just keep submurging them in water. If it doesn't stop by tomorrow, seek medical attention.

No, I don't know what it is (and I am a nurse) but I know exactly what you are talking about. Neither does my doctor know what it is. It will gradually diminish over a couple of days. Unfortunately, it will be back (almost a year between episodes for me). Sorry you are hurting. I have found that nothing really helps a lot, like aspirin or other pain relievers. It does help to know it won't last all that long.

this may not work, depends what your issue is, bt seeing as you dont have much choice, try putting your hands in milk. Its low Ph levels may counter-act the high Ph levels from the acid in the peppers. Soak them in the boal if needs be, but for god sake keep your hands away from your face and your groin until this stinging has gone!!!
