check the timming . it might of jumped time. but even though carbs clean, doesn't mean your fuel filter isn't plugged or the fuel line it self. if not pugged check timing. you might also try a little starting fluid in the intake of carb just incase of vapor lock. you might get lucky. always good to have a little luck on your side anyway. well i hope this helps a little.
good luck,
we're gone,

seems to be a fuel issue. do the checks as listed above to make sure fuel is getting to and thru the carb. also check to see if your air filter is clean. might even stick a fresh plug in it to make sure the porcelian isn't cracked causing improper spark...
you say the compression is okay??? did you actually check it or just going by the pressure on the kickstarter???
was the plug wet or oily?

could be your needle and seat are stuck, try tapping on the side of the carb near the fuel line. if that dose'nt work pull the fuel line from the carb turn on the gas and make sure it is flowing, then pull the drain plug from the bottom of the carb reconnect the fuel line and see if gas is flowing through the carb.

Open the drain on the carb to make sure it's getting fuel.
Remove the reed block and hold it up to the light, to make sure it's making a good seal and the reeds aren't cracked.

I would check the plug, if the plug is has a lot of oil it is possible that you may need to change your piston rings. I was having the problem with my RM and that worked for me. Also, if your gas is old you may want to try some fresh gas.
