Give a written notice to the company regarding this complaint & give a time period of at least 15 days for its ratification failing which you will be forced to move the district consumer forum under The Consumer Protection Act, 1986 for complaint against the company for deficiency of services and for compensation & cost against then at their risk & cost. After receiving this notice the company will be forced to set the problem ratified immediately & you need not have to go for district consumer forum relief where if you actually go means spending 2 to 3 years & lots of money too. If any one tells you your case will be decided within three months don't get misguided by such wrong information as the very first date you get on actual filling such a complaint itself will not be less then three months & many more will follow & by grace of God you have an Advocate dealing your case then sure short this case will take not less then 3 years.

In case of defective product supplied to the customer or any consumer product is becomes defective and does not give the service up-to mark, the customer who purchased the said product under due receipt can sue the seller or the company as the case may be. The customer has to make a written complaint to the shop or seller or the company to rectify the default of the product by giving reasonable time to them to provide their service and in case if they fails to do so in the stipulated time, the customer can file a complaint/ petition under Section 12 of the Consumer Protection Act along with the documents of the product, with the District Consumer Redressal Forum, situated in every District headquarters, presided by a Dist.Judge. The customer either personally can approach the Consumer Forum or he may appoint an Advocate on his behalf. Within a span of three moths the case shall be decided.

Do you have a receipt for the amount you paid? Send them a notice demanding that they set the problem right within a certain period failing which you will seek legal redress. If they dont reply or resolve the problem within that period, file a Complaint (in 3 copies + 1 for each Opposite Party + 1 for yourself) at your local District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum if the claim is upto Rs 5 lacs, at the State Commission if upto Rs 20 lacs and at the National Commission for claims in excess of Rs 20 lacs..
Visit
core.nic.in
and also buy a copy of CPAct which is simple and easy to understand. The format for Complaint is given at the end. It is a fairly simple procedure and provided your facts and documentation are in place, you will not need a lawyer. But do not expect results in a hurry !!!
