Absolutely none. If ex customers cannot manage their affairs properly, then as a very last resort, their balances should default to the bank. Whatever anyone may think, and I know many will not agree with my view, but the Government have no legal or moral claim to it. At least, as far as the bank is concerned, the balances resulted as a consequence of running their business.
I also agree with your political sentiments. The trouble is, that this Government is anti-family, because it sees it as a threat to its totalitarian regime.

Wow, that was a crazy article,,,i agree, i dont think they have a right, and if they absolutley want to use the funds for something, why not help out single moms or middle class familys trying to get by, we sure could use some help, here we are stuck in the middle, don't make enough to afford, insurance and grocerys but make to much to get any kind of help, it sucks....why not help us type of people and make sure everyone in the world has health insurance.

If it's the government who acted to use unused bank accounts, it must be legal at first instance.
If there are complaints of its illegality, it must be brought to court with specific charges. It's the court who will give the verdict whether it's legal or otherwise.

Gordon Brown thinks he can just help himself to your money !
The Revenue wants the power to just take money from any account without a court order for any amount of unpaid tax - that says it all.
I think the Brown 'bounce' is a media invention.

I agree the goverment seem to focus to much on getting mothers back to work as soon as possible rather than supporting their decision to stay at home.

Government is the servsnt of the coutry not its master.

i think the kids that get themselves pregnant do OK as it is moneywise so don't come on with that they should have stopped to think
