Hillary won her senate seat by such a wide margin only because she ran against a last-minute subsititute for Rudy Giuliana, who was driven from the race by personal scandal. Babara Boxer of California is 100 times the Senator Hillary could ever hope to be. There are many other very qualified women out there. Why is Hillary even running?

Hillary is running because she thinks her name recognition alone will win her the presidency.
This is not a good time historically for a female president. I think the time has come for a female or minority president but the question is do we have a good candidate currently running that could do a great job for the country? I think not
Our international issues currently are with predominately countries who historically have shown a lack of respect for women and therefore they would not work with a woman well.
Unfortunately I have not seen anyone running for either party who is a great presidential candidate.
Hillary cannot pull enough male or female votes to win. I'm afraid that the election will come down to who is running that will do the least harm.
Hopefully the moderate democrats and republicans and the independents will find someone they can live with.

Hillary probably feels after years of humiliation with slick willie, she deserves to be president. I think it shows she has no character.
She's the only woman running because Condi Rice is not running. But, we have not had a single president in generations, it's doubtful the first woman president will be unmarried.
I don't knw many other women who have the experience to be president at this time. Maybe Bush's aide Fran Townsend.. she's on tv alot and has good presence. Or Sen. Olympia Snow from Maine.

Because she wants to run and she can. If Barbara Boxer wanted to run then she could. Obviously the other qualified women you speak of either don't want the job or don't have the guts for it.

You don't have to agree with her politics but you have to admire her guts.
