I believe it's more touch and go with the War on Drugs, but the War on Terror is a fight that cannot be won.

There will always be someone else, and how many intellegence agances do we need to figure that out. Someone will always be out there hating a current race, creed, sexuality, or nationality.

Peace can only last for so long, before the break down begins. History always repeats itself if we aren't reminded of our mistakes, and we can only hope for the goodness in people and hopeful have a solution to both.

Right now, I don't think we are winning either War but "THE FIGHT" isn't over.
PEACE :-?

How do you ever win a "war" when the opponents are so poorly defined? What is terror - fear, chaos, instability? Doesn't war CAUSE terror? I think it does. People die everyday during a war and they sure aren't winning.

In order to win a war on drugs, you have to deal with why they are so tempting to so many - what is it that people are trying to escape from? Then, you have to take the money away from the equation - as long as some people can make tons of money off of drugs, they will be available for sale.

No. Neither one. I think we need to just give up the war on drugs, at least focus more on meth and cocaine, the real issues. The rest is pretty much a waste of money.
And the "war on terror"...psh forget about it. We won't ever win because America has gone soft in 200 years and we're afraid to hurt people's feelings. It's all about PC. What ever happened to the George Washington and the Revolutionary spirit?!

I firmly believe that we are losing the war on both fronts. How can we as a nation possibly win if our own Government lacks insight to the cause of terrorism and constantly makes the war a priority of funding? As such, the war on drugs cannot be even dealt with without having additional taxes inplace.

War on drugs, war on poverty, war on terrorism, war on rape, war on pollution, war on homelessness

The mass media and government love to use the word war to promote an attack of anything they don't like.

No we are not winning either and never will you cant stop a multi billion dollar business, and you cant stop people who are willing to die for a cause they believe in.

I think that we are winning the war on terror, because we have (thankfully) not suffered a major attack since 9/11/01. I do not think we are winning the war on drugs, because there are always going to be people who want to use substances that alter their perception of reality, whether it be alcohol, marijuana, or "harder" drugs.

Well, I don't think that is happening in these days and times, maybe in a future that none of us will get to see, unfortunately and I honestly don't think the u.s.a is the only one "fighting" this war- there are other countries as well.
