I have. I have also googled my friends. I never found my name used by someone else, but neve knew my last name was somewhat common.

Yeah, and I gotta dig deep - ME!! A recording artist, one of the top Blues Harmonica players in the country, and when I put in my real name, I'm behind: An Irish Writer, A Bicyclist., a whistle blower, a pediphile alert for some one totally unrelated (THAT's harsh), and articles by five staff writers that share my name....I start to come up around page 42.....yeah, I get bored sometimes...

Yes, I have, and nothing ever comes up because all my security settings (on Yahoo, facebook, et cetera) are so high. But I do get results for other people, mostly court documents and family histories.
My friends don't show up online either, except for other people with the same name.

I think most people have. Nothing came up for me except for me being on a list of people in attendance at a town meeting where I live, from the early 80's.

Yup. My name comes up a lot... probably because I was a journalist for about 15 years and my name is on a bunch of old archived stories...
Here's a funny thing to do: Google "(Your first name) looks like..." or "(Your first name) needs..."
