Small Government Conservatives are still there. It's just fashionable to call them "Whiny Liberals" these days.
There's a big difference between the reasons why Libs and Pseudocons want bigger Governments. Libs want Government powerful enough to do good things FOR people. That's often wrong heaed, but at least they mean well and occasionally do some good. Psuedocons want bigger Government to make it easier to do bad things to people. That's always wrong.

Power above and beyond the Laws, Suffer it not to live."

Mikelew is absolutely right!! I think if Barry Goldwater was alive today, he would walk away from the Republican party in disgust and be a Libertarian. Giuliani is scary!

Conservatives are too busy shifting wealth (plus income) from the poor and middle class to the rich to even be concerned about that. Americans don't even seem to notice what has happened..

ummmm, it died about the same time the founding fathers did.
Quite sadly and unfortunately.
The freedom of America lives on in the hearts of the true patriots. I say it is time that we start wearing our hearts on our sleeves. I am just not real sure that it isn't already too late.

What ever happened to anti-federalists like Thomas Jefferson? If liberals consider themselves anti-federalists then they should do the same, and stop wanting bigger and bigger government to baby sit them.
