i absolutely DO NOT want limewire. i've already had it before and i got 12 viruses. i know ur just gonna say to scan each file before opening it, but i don't even want to risk it. so what are some other ways i can get free music?

Not exactly well-known music, but it's free and legal and some of it is actually good. All you need is a bittorrent client. I suggest Azureus because of some recent spyware concerns with the latest version of Utorrent. My friends don't like the latest version of that either, so get version 2.5 (I think that's it anyway). very simple .just google bitcomet,just folow the steps,then you will have hundreds of bitttornts sites to go to.i like torentspy.download bitcomet,then look for what you want with torenspy ..good luck injoy
